I attended KHHS through my freshman year before our family moved to Dalton, Ohio, in 1977. It's hard to believe that I have now lived in Ohio for 32 years. Apparently I am both old and senile. I graduated from Walsh University in Canton, Ohio, in 1984 with a triple major in accounting, business management and finance. I worked one year as an accountant for Dravo Contractors out of Pittsburgh before deciding to go to law school. I graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in 1988 and worked a couple of years for a local law firm before opening up my own private practice in Akron, Ohio. I have a general law practice which includes criminal, domestic, probate, bankruptcy, juvenile, and personal injury law. In 1990 I married my wife, Robin Hagen, and we have three children - Jenna born in 1991, Jaclyn born in 1994 and James born in 1997. Jenna is a sophomore at Kent State University and is majoring in sports administration with a minor in business management. She wants to work for the Cleveland Cavaliers someday. She is a big fan of Lebron James who grew up in Akron. We used to watch Lebron's high school team (St. Vincent-St. Mary) play their high school games at the University of Akron and Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland because their high school gym was too small for the crowds. Jackie is a sophomore at Green High School and is involved in competitive cheer leading. The Nationals are being held at Walt Disney World next year so we will be going to Orlando in March of 2010 to watch her compete. My son James was born 17 weeks premature and only weighed 1 pound 5 ounces at birth. His due date was October 30th and he was born on the 4th of July. He spent 93 days in neonatal intensive care before he came home. Originally, the doctors only gave him a 40% chance of survival and told us that he could have multiple disabilities (deaf, blind, cerebral palsy, etc.) Fortunately, the only health problem he had was a lazy eye which was corrected through surgery. Today he is a healthy 12 year computer geek and we consider him to be a miracle baby. My wife Robin is a life long resident of Ohio and has worked as an office manager for almost 20 years now for the local prosecutors office. My mom passed away unexpectedly in 1993 and my dad now lives in Clearwater, Florida. My two sisters (Danielle and Michelle) both live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and my brother Bob lives in Connecticut. In November of 2009 I attended the 5 class reunion held at the Lion's Club in Keystone and plan on attending the 30 year class reunion for the Class of 1980, if there is one. If anyone ever comes to Ohio for any reason, give me a call. Take care.
