After graduation from high school, I enrolled at UF as an engineering student. After alternating school, work, hunting, fishing, traveling out west, and other stuff, I finally crammed a four year degree into six years and graduated from UF in Dec 1985.

I met my wife Kim while I was an engineering student at UF (she was also an engineering student). We got married in May 1985, while we were still students at UF and it's been great ever since.....can't believe she put up with me that long. Kim and I graduated togther with degrees in Civil Engineering.

My first job was with the Department of Army at Fort Stewart, Georgia, from January 1986 to June 1987. In June of 1987, I took a new job at CH2M HILL in Gainesville. Kim (who was 9 months pregnant at the time) and I moved back down the Florida and I have been living in or near Keystone since.

For past 22 years or so, I have been working as an engineer/program manager for CH2M HILL. Currently I work all over the State and US at times but primarily have focused efforts in Jacksonville. I am also responsible for project delivery, client service, and business development for CH2M HILL in Florida and Georgia. I am also a partner in an engineering firm located right here in Keystone...imagine that.

Kim relinquished her engineering career to be a teacher at Keystone High School. This has allowed her to have a schedule similar to the boys and she likes being in the classroom.

When the boys were younger I coached them in baseball and basketball for about 16 years. We won Districts and Regionals one year while I was coaching an all-star baseball team. We got the privilege to compete at the State Championships that year with my oldest son....that was pretty cool. Now we spend most of our non-working/school time fishing, hunting, diving, snow skiing, or anything outdoors.

Kim and I also serve in our Church (Eliam Baptist in Melrose)...she runs the sound and I play drums in a praise band and also sing in the choir.

What's funny is it looks like all my kids will end up graduating high school at the same place I did.....Dustin (my oldest son) even had some of the same teachers I did!
